Double Dare

Down the hallway, open up the front door

Take a right down to the second light at the corner store

It's a morning news and a pack of Newports, go back home

It's a fine day just to be alone

Talking to myself, talking out loud to myself

Telling myself it's all right when I don't really care

Talking to myself, talking out loud to myself

Double do it to win, it's the double dare

It's the double dare

In the park there's a little spot in the shade

When my eyes close up I then doze dream arcades

Outside air it's a fresh affair, feel the breeze

Summer sunshine, whisper wind turn my life to leaves

Talking to myself, talking out loud to myself

Telling myself it's all right when I don't really care

Talking to myself, talking out loud to myself

Double do it to win, it's the double dare

It's the double dare
